    DISCOVER PRINCE WILLIAM & MANASSAS SHOWCASES COUNTY AND CITY TO THE WORLD AT U.S. TRAVEL ASSOCIATION’S ‘IPW’

    MANASSAS, Virginia – June 12, 2017 – Discover Prince William & Manassas, the tourism marketing agency for Prince William County & Manassas, Virginia, is concluding an intensive two-weeks of promotional and sales activities to showcase Prince William County and the City of Manassas to international tour operators and media. The IPW trade show, the American travel industry’s leading international marketplace and largest generator of travel into the U.S., drew more than 5,000 attendees from around the globe to the Greater Washington Metro Region June 3 – 7th, 2017. This is the first time the trade show, of which celebrated its 49th year, has been hosted by the Washington, DC region. The effect of the show is anticipated to generate a minimum of one million new visitors to the Capital region by 2020.

    MANASSAS, Virginia – May 10, 2017 – Discover Prince William & Manassas, the destination marketing organization for Prince William County & Manassas, Virginia, hosted elected officials, local tourism industry professionals on Friday, May 5th at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia to celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week. This event celebrates the $608+ million in economic impact and $10.1 million in local tax revenue generated by tourism in Prince William County & the City of Manassas, Virginia.

  3. Virginia Little League Tournament

    Fuller Heights Park

    It is the Virginia Little League Championship. Teams from across the state will travel to Prince William County, from as far as eight hours away, to play for the chance to win and move on to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. A total of 35 games will be played over the tournament’s five days, July 21 to 25. On the field, more than 500 children and teens will take the field and play baseball. Again, this is the tournament that will decide who will represent the great state of Virginia in the Little League World Series.

    Saturday Morning Trail Runs Jul 08 - Dec 30 Join The Running Store at each Saturday for weekly trail runs at the Manassas National Battlefield Park! Runs usually range from 6-12 miles, but are entirely up to the individual/group. The running coordinator can match you with someone going your pace and distance so you don’t have to run alone! Meet at the Henry Hill Visitor Center at 8:00am December - February and 7:30am March - November.
