PETER PAN – Pied Piper Theatre

Neverland awaits for all those who are young or young at heart, as Pied Piper Theatre brings to life James M. Barrie’s captivating classic tale of PETER PAN. Fly away with Peter to the land of the lost boys, pirates, Tiger Lily and Captain Hook! Enjoy the familiar and popular songs “I Won’t Grow Up,” “I’ve Got to Crow,” and “I’m Flying.” This rousing musical, complete with a pirate ship and 45 of the area’s most talented young actors, will entertain the entire family. PETER PAN will be presented on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2pm and 7pm and Sunday, January 21 at 3:00pm. Performances are at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, 10960 George Mason Circle in Manassas. Purchase tickets at the box office or order tickets on-line at hyltoncenter.org. Group tickets for organized groups such as scouts, school drama clubs, and church groups are also available by calling the Center for the Arts at (703) 330-2787. Directed by Kelly Glyptis with music directed by Veronica Sharpe, Peter Pan is a musical based on the play by Sir J.M. Barrie with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, music by Morris Charlap with additional lyrics and music by Betty Comden, Adolph Green, and Jule Styne. Hula in the Coola 2: A Summer Party in January

Join us for the second annual Hula in the Coola Party – our summer party in January. We’ll have live music, summer-themed food and drink options, a hula dance contest, limbo contest, and an ugly Hawaiian shirt contest… all with major awards. Fun is guaranteed; you don’t want to miss this party! Shorts and flip flops are encouraged.  

Chess Night at Jirani

Come out and join us for our first Chess Night @ Jirani and enjoy a cup of joe or glass of wine with a yummy treat while playing your favorite game! All ages and levels are welcome to participate--this is a family friendly event! Also, please bring your own board (BYOB) if you have one.  

Chili Battle Royale - Heroic Aleworks

Heroic Aleworks will be hosting a chili battle to end all battles on Saturday, January 20th from 2-6pm. $10 entry fee for those looking to test their mettle. Voting will be conducted by the hungry masses, or messes depending on how the day goes. Cash prizes for the top 3 participants and maybe additional prizes just for maximum silliness, the chili gods are fickle.

Free Children's Day - Weems-Botts Museum

January Children's Day Special topic: Native American History Join us for activities and crafts that relate to local Native American history and take a tour of the Weems-Botts Museum.
