Prince William History Symposium

Our community has a long and rich history. Founded in 1731, Prince William County is one of the oldest counties in Northern Virginia. Join several local historic organizations as we celebrate this history at our First Annual Prince William-Manassas History Symposium. The $10 fee for the Symposium includes: Dr. John Maass – George Washington and Prince William County Robert O’Neill – JEB Stuart’s Christmas Raid, December 1862 Lisa Sievel-Otten – The Great Fire of Manassas and Recovery Thomas E. Williams – The U.S. Marines in the Great War (WWI) Norma Fields - The Courageous Four: Desegregation of Prince William County Schools Manassas Museum Reception with the Curator (includes hors d'oeuvres and cash bar) On March 26, take a rare chance to visit four privately owned historic homes in Prince William County.
