Radio Bingo

Thursday, 03/29/2018 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Get a bingo card and a glass of beer (or wine) and keep your ears peeled for the hit Indie songs listed on your card. Do you have the music recognition skills to outlast the competition? You could win major awards! It’s more fun than should be allowed on a Thursday night… but it is… we checked. Here’s how it works: You get a bingo card with your initial purchase of a beer or wine, and additional cards can be purchased for $2 each. The proceeds from the additional cards will go to support wounded warriors through Azalea Charities. Music will play over the speakers, and if you correctly identify the song, and it is on your card, you mark that song. If you get 5 in a row before everyone else, you’ll win a major award. And as an added twist, if two or more people get bingo at the same time, we’ll have a dance-off to determine the winner (by popular vote of course). Visit the taproom every Thursday night 7-9pm to join the fun! Attachments

Circalyans:warriors of the untime

Friday, 03/23/2018 - Wednesday, 04/25/2018

Circalyans:warriors of the untime Donnamaria R Jones (On exhibit: March 6 – April 25, 2018) Fascinated by the indomitable spirit defining warriors of times past, present and imagined future, she has created an amalgamated league of conquerors, the Circalyan Warriors of the Untime, that transcend all time periods. The rustic, near life-sized portrait panels evoke the sheer might and domination of the eclectically adorned and armed combatants. Donnamaria R. Jones, a military veteran, is a portrait photographer based in the Washington Metropolitan area, and owns Circa Life Images photography studio in Waldorf, MD. The creative process behind the Circalyan Warriors was practically a full-on production featuring a makeup artist, special effects artist, studio set, custom made costumes, and of course, models - most, if not all, tattooed by Scotte "Bricks" Turner of Bricks Tattoo. But, of course, before the photo shoot, there was the original conception: Although Donnamaria was partially influenced by her martial arts background and her military career, she also acknowledges that the exhibit has some metaphorical significance as well. Donnamaria believes that each one of us deals with inner battles daily, even if not physically visible to those on the outside. The Circalyans could be considered the visual representations of these inner battles that we all experience. The scars, some authentic and some created, are considered the "spoils of victory”, and are often something we hide, rather than expose or celebrate. Meet the Artist April 7, 6-8 pm during our catered reception! Heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served - free and open to the public.
