Potomac Nationals vs. Buies Creek Astros

It's Saturday night baseball action in Woodbridge as the P-Nats continue their set with the BC Astros (Astros affiliate.) Come on out to the ballpark as the P-Nats show their appreciation to our nation's military. The players will be wearing military-themed jerseys (to be auctioned off later in the season), and fans can take home a camo koozie. In addition, kids can stay after the game to run the bases, and there will be postgame fireworks. Attachments

Canoe Tour at Leesylvania

Our canoe tours are designed to help those that are new to canoeing to learn the basics of paddling. Experienced individuals are also encouraged to come to enjoy the wildlife and scenic views. We can support up to 24 people on a tour depending on age, size, and skill set. The cost is $9.00 per person, or $6.00 per person when reserving for groups of 4 or more. Potomac Blockade Boat Tour

Cruise along the Potomac River shoreline and view sites that were critical to the Confederate forces successful blockade of Washington DC from September 1861 through March 1862. Local historians will discuss the significance of the Blockade and of the gun batteries and camps that supported the Confederate efforts. The cruise will include the preserved batteries at Freestone Point and Possum Nose, as well as Evansport and Shipping Point. Tour includes lunch and departs from marina at Leesylvania State Park. Yoga on the Lawn

Enjoy performing yoga on the lawn with amazing views of the Potomac River and historic Rippon Lodge in the background. No one could ask for a better outdoor venue to exercise. Join certified instructor Christopher Glowacki for an hour-long Vinyasa yoga practice. Beginning yoga students to well versed devotes are welcomed. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, towel and plenty of water; beginners may want to bring a block and/or strap. Classes offered most Saturday morning from June to October. After the incredible success of our 2016, 2017 & 2018 Georgia Tiny House Festivals, and our World-Record 2016 & 2017 Florida Tiny House Festivals, we’re brining our unique-one-of-a-kind for-charity tiny House music festival to our Nation’s Capital! As with all our charitable Tiny House Festivals, Friday evening is 5PM-8PM is FREE to everyone! Home School Day at the Weems-Botts Museum

The Weems-Botts Museum welcomes area home school families to a tour of the historic house museum and a hands-on, SOL-based lesson on archaeology. Families will participate in a mock "dig." Kids will have so much fun they won't even know they are learning about observations versus inferences while they use their critical thinking skills to interpret the artifacts they discover. They will also get the chance to hold real artifacts, try and piece together pot sherds, and make a fossil imprint or petroglyph carving to take home. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it in our covered pavilion area in Merchant Park. $5/youth (6-18); adults and children under 6 free. Reservations appreciated.Attachments
