Free Book Talk with Author Tom Clemons on his last in a series "The Maryland Campaign of September 1862, Vol. III: The Battle of Shepherdstown and the End of the Campaign" About the Book: The Maryland Campaign of September 1862, Vol. III: The Battle of Shepherdstown and the End of the Campaign, concludes the most comprehensive and detailed account of the campaign ever produced. Jammed with firsthand accounts, personal anecdotes, detailed footnotes, maps, and photos, this long-awaited study will be appreciated as Civil War history at its finest. About the Author: Thomas G. Clemens earned his doctoral degree at George Mason University, where he studied under Maryland Campaign historian Dr. Joseph L. Harsh. Tom has published a wide variety of magazine articles and book reviews, has appeared in several documentary programs, and is a licensed tour guide at Antietam National Battlefield. A retired professor from Hagerstown Community College, he also helped found and is the current president of Save Historic Antietam Foundation, Inc., a preservation group dedicated to saving historic properties. Potomac Nationals vs. Carolina Mudcats

The P-Nats wrap up their series with the Mudcats, and its kids day. First 250 kids 12 and under get a voucher for a free hotdog at the game and a free cheese pizza at local Little Caesar's restaurants. In addition, first 1000 kids 12 and under also take home a logo baseball. Furthermore, kids can run the bases post game, play catch on the field game, and serve as PA announcer. PRTC will be on site as well, with their buses for kids to explore. There will also be Captain Underpants themed promotions and events at the game. Attachments

Potomac Nationals Book Signing

Kristin George will be signing copies of Ruger Tails and Bitter Disconnect at the Potomac Nationals' Stadium on June 25, 2017 from 12-4:30. Throughout the summer, the Potomac Nationals will be featuring a reading program to encourage kids to become excited about reading! June 25 is Superhero/Captain Underpants Day! Come out to support the reading program, enjoy an exciting game, and purchase a book that will be personally autographed! Everyone can participate in the reading program with the purchase of a book for either an adult or a child. Attachments

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Tours

Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of the hallowed grounds that contain camps, cemeteries, and battlefields. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles that took place in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin on the hour and depart from the kiosk in the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. The last tour leaves at 3PM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect repellant is encouraged. No pets please. Attachments
