Potomac Nationals vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans

Friday night baseball action as the P-Nats take on the Pelicans. Players will be wearing vintage Cannons jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit charities. After the game, kids will be invited to come to the field to run the bases, and there will also be fireworks. Attachments

Revolutionary Readers – A Book Club for Young Readers

Fridays, July 14th & 28th August 11th and 25th Revolutionary Readers – A Book Club for Young Readers 10 a.m. – Noon; $7.00 per child Young readers (rising 4th to 6th grade) are invited to join our book club. This summer we will explore books and topics connected to early American history through the eyes of young adults. Each gathering of readers will include a discussion of the book and other related activities. A book list will be provided at time of registration. All titles are available at the local library. Civil War Home Front Camp

The Home front camp is designed to give participants a feel for life as a young person while fathers and older brothers are off fighting the War. Activities will include farm chores, food ways to include substitutions, Court day, 19th century fishing, letters to loved ones, sewing and needle work, and on the last day a community picnic with homemade ice cream.
