Jackson at Bristoe Station Anniversary "In-Time" Tour

Join Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park staff and volunteers on the 154th anniversary of Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's capture of Bristoe Station, the precursor to the Battle of Second Manassas. Jackson's capture of Bristoe, would allow him to capture the large Federal warehouses in Manassas on the 27th. Visit the park on the actual anniversary for a specialized in-time walking tour. Potomac Nationals vs. Frederick Keys

The final Saturday home game of the season, as the P-Nats take on the Keys. First 1250 fans will receive a MASN's Dan Kolko-Jayson Werth bobblehead (voted on by fans choice last winter), First 1000 fans will take home a 2018 magnet schedule, and Flying Dog Brewery will be on site for beer tastings. In addition, the Potomac Nationals Booster Club will hold a silent auction of sports memorabilia. Kids will be invited to the field after the game to run the bases, and there will be postgame fireworks. Attachments

Battle of Kettle Run Anniversary Tours

"Stonewall" Jackson's capture of Bristoe Station and the Battle of Kettle Run – the opening round of what would become the Second Battle of Manassas. This August 27th battle, while small, was bloody and took a heavy toll on the regiments that fought there. Rippon Lodge Car Show

Enjoy a display of vintage and classic cars on the lawns of Rippon Lodge Historic Site. Cars from 1950 to 1900 are welcome to be displayed. Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Tours

Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of the hallowed grounds that contain camps, cemeteries, and battlefields. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles that took place in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin on the hour and depart from the kiosk in the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. The last tour leaves at 3PM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect repellant is encouraged. No pets please. Attachments

Yoga on the Lawn at Rippon Lodge

Enjoy performing yoga on the lawn with amazing views of the Potomac River and historic Rippon Lodge in the background. No one could ask for a better outdoor venue to exercise. Join certified instructor Christopher Glowacki for an hour long Vinyasa yoga practice. Beginning yoga students to well-versed devotes are welcomed. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, towel and plenty of water; beginners may want to bring a block and/or strap. Classes are offered most Saturday mornings from May to September. Call Rippon Lodge to confirm class day and times. Those purchasing 10 classes will receive punch cards which are good for the whole season. Additional classes may be purchased at any time. Circo Hermanos Vazquez traveling Circus

Potomac Mills will play host to the renowned Circo Hermanos Vazquez traveling circus this week from August 18th to the 28th. Taking place under a huge blue and purple top tent near Marshalls, the show features clowns, trapeze artists, and amazing aerial acrobatics. Founded in 1969, this breakthrough show features performers from around the world and is completely animal-free. Performances begin this week with weekday shows starting Thursday at 7:30pm and over the weekend at 2:00pm, 5:00pm, and 8:00pm.
