Potomac Nationals vs. Frederick Keys (home finale!)

After 5 months of a grueling season, the P-Nats wave goodbye to their fans for the season with their home finale this afternoon against the Keys. First 250 kids ages 12 and under will get a voucher for a free hot dog and a voucher for a free cheese pizza at any local Little Caesars. During he game, kids will be randomly selected to serve as PA announcers. Postgame, kids will be invited to the field to run the bases, play catch on the field, and participate in a kids-only autograph signing involving members of the team! Battle of Kettle Run Anniversary Tours

Join Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park staff and volunteers on the 154th anniversary of Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson's capture of Bristoe Station and the Battle of Kettle Run – the opening round of what would become the Second Battle of Manassas. This August 27th battle, while small, was bloody and took a heavy toll on the regiments that fought there. Visit the park on the actual anniversary for specialized in-time walking tours that will make this forgotten battle come to life in vivid detail. Attachments

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Tours

Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of the hallowed grounds that contain camps, cemeteries, and battlefields. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles that took place in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin on the hour and depart from the kiosk in the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. The last tour leaves at 3PM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect repellant is encouraged. No pets please. Attachments

Battle of Bull Run Bridge "In-Time" Walking Tour

Join Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park staff for the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Bull Run Bridge– part of the opening rounds of what would become the Second Battle of Manassas. Hours before the Battle of Kettle Run to the South, the Battle of Bull Run Bridge was the first Federal attempt to drive Stonewall Jackson away from Manassas. This August 27th battle, while small, was particularly bloody for the Union Army and took a heavy toll on the regiments that fought there. Civil War Weekend

Circo Hermanos Vazquez traveling Circus

Potomac Mills will play host to the renowned Circo Hermanos Vazquez traveling circus this week from August 18th to the 28th. Taking place under a huge blue and purple top tent near Marshalls, the show features clowns, trapeze artists, and amazing aerial acrobatics. Founded in 1969, this breakthrough show features performers from around the world and is completely animal-free. Performances begin this week with weekday shows starting Thursday at 7:30pm and over the weekend at 2:00pm, 5:00pm, and 8:00pm.
