"The Commandant's Own" the United States Marine Band Drum & Bugle Corps Performance

Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Tours

Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of the hallowed grounds that contain camps, cemeteries, and battlefields. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles that took place in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin on the hour and depart from the kiosk in the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. The last tour leaves at 3PM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect repellant is encouraged. No pets please. Attachments

2017 Manassas Latino Festival

The Latino Festival highlights the food, music, and art of our area’s Latin American communities, with live performances throughout the day, including Mariachis and Pinatas for the kids! The event is free and open to public. The 2017 Manassas Latino Festival will be held on Sunday, September 24 at the Harris Pavilion in old town Manassas. Visual Magic - The Art of Four Picture Book Illustrators Visual Magic features four talented children’s book illustrators: Janet Stoeke, Carol Schwartz, Susan Roth, and Jennifer O’Connell. The artists have contributed to multiple children’s publications, and their crisp dynamic images bring life to the stories. They work with various mediums, including gouache, Photoshop, and even collage to express topics that range from science and nature to culture and history! Meet the illustrators at the reception, September 16, 2017 at 5:30 pm. *Bookworm Central will have books available for purchase at the reception. ********* Greater Manassas/Prince William County sponsors theatrical productions for children and adults, teaches arts classes, promotes visual arts and provides community outreach programs for local youth. Founded in 1984 by a group of artists and art lovers, the Center aims to enrich the quality of life in the Northern Virginia suburbs through arts performance and education.
