Enjoy performing yoga on the lawn with amazing views of the Potomac River and historic Rippon Lodge in the background. No one could ask for a better outdoor venue to exercise. Join certified instructor Christopher Glowacki for an hour long Vinyasa yoga practice. Beginning yoga students to well-versed devotes are welcomed. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, towel and plenty of water; beginners may want to bring a block and/or strap. Classes are offered most Saturday mornings from May to September. Call Rippon Lodge to confirm class day and times. Those purchasing 10 classes will receive punch cards which are good for the whole season. Additional classes may be purchased at any time. Rippon Lodge’s diverse history is full of truths, myths and rumors, such as the course of Route 1 was altered to avoid its ghostly residents. Come and experience a uniquely haunting tour of the historic house and grounds by candlelight, perhaps encounter the departed spirits of notable residents and neighbors, and hear their tales of sadness and triumph. Reservations Required; this is a walking tour at night with uneven grounds, surfaces and darkened rooms. Please dress appropriately for the weather and walking; flashlights recommended. Early Days of Prince William County

Prince William County’s history begins in 1731 when it was founded by the Virginia House of Burgesses. One of the County’s oldest homes will host a special event to highlight the history and culture of Native Americans and the colonial peoples of the area. Living history demonstrations, colonial life and military encampments from various conflicts, such as the American Revolution, and of Native American cultures will be available all day. Holidays Through the Ages

Visit Rippon Lodge and stroll through seasonal celebrations gone by. The interior and exterior of the historic house will be decorated for the holidays. Various rooms inside the home will represent different periods of seasonal celebrations, from the Colonial Period through the 1940s. Light refreshments, a warm beverage, and shopping for unique Rippon merchandise round out a wonderful tour. Reservations strongly recommended for groups larger than 4. Tours begin on the hour on the front porch. Guests should dress in appropriate attire and comfortable shoes for this walking tour. Attachments

Holiday Night at Rippon Lodge

For one night only, see Rippon Lodge by candlelight at Christmastime. Beginning with a special tree lighting ceremony with tree ornaments decorated by local school children, visitors will see the grounds and several of the historic buildings beautifully lit with lights. Guest may tour the Holiday through the Ages decorations by candlelight, listen to music, enjoy making seasonal crafts, a warm beverage, shopping and holiday cookies. One night only. Santa Comes to Rippon Lodge

You better watch out! You better not cry! Santa Claus is visiting Rippon Lodge for one afternoon only! Be on your best behavior and keep your name on the “Nice” list. Parents will be given special “Things Santa Should Know” cards upon arrival. Bring your camera for pictures and dress appropriately for weather as some activities are outside. With large numbers of excited tots expected, we ask parents bring plenty of snacks and extra activities for young children. Attachments
