Polar Plunge Festival

Put on your brave—just don't forget your swimsuit—for the Northern VA Polar Plunge® Fest, where hundreds will dash into the icy Potomac. In addition to your icy dip, you can strut your stuff on the beach in your best Plunge costume, listen to the live band, or win some COOL door prizes! The Festival will take place at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant & Crabhouse from 10 am to 4 pm. Registration opens at 10 am; the costume contest starts at 2 pm; and plunging begins around 3 pm (subject to tides). It's $100 to Plunge, but the more you raise, the COOLER the incentives! Students also are welcome to join us for the Cool School Challenge. Don't miss out on the COOLEST winter beach party in NOVA there is! Parking and shuttles to the event are available at John Paul the Great High School,17700 Dominican Drive in Dumfries, for all plungers. There is not parking at the restaurant.

Paws in the Park

Join us on Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for four legged fun at Prince William Forest Park's Paws in the Park Event. Throughout the day educational exhibitors will be on display to answer all your doggie needs. Also, military, therapy, search and rescue dogs and the National Park Service will provide demonstrations of their working dogs in action. Speakers and obedience experts will be on hand to provide helpful advice.
23rd Annual Heritage Railway Festival

Experience Manassas at its best this June and come out to the 23rd Annual Manassas Heritage Railway Festival. This family celebration of rich railroad history features train memorabilia, specialty vendors, and live performances. Country and blue grass music will transport you, as you watch miniature trains come to life. These elaborate train displays are created by a number of local model train groups. Located under the Harris Pavilion, these displays are a must see. Take your love of trains to a new level by boarding one of our four train excursions to Clifton and back. The first two trains at 10am and 11am will feature Chase from Paw Patrol. Our afternoon trains at 12pm and 1pm will have the Icy Princess. Date of ticket sales to be announced.

Explore the history of Prince William Forest Park through demonstrations, music, crafts, and exhibitors at the annual Heritage Festival. Visit one of Prince William Forest Park’s historic Civilian Conservation Corps cabin camps. Experience the kids' craft lodge, just as children did in the 1930s when the park was the Chopawamsic Recreation Demonstration Area. See Civil War and World War II reenactors and learn about the park's military history. Take a break to sit and listen to the bluegrass bands playing throughout the day. Enjoy stepping back in time at Prince William Forest Park, your neighborhood National Park.

35th Annual Manassas Fall Jubilee

The Annual Fall Jubilee, in Historic Downtown Manassas will be held on October 7, 2017 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. This year’s Jubilee will include an assortment of fun for both kids and adults with over 100 crafter and community booths, live music and entertainment, and more! The Fall Jubilee is free to the public. Bring your family out for a day of fun – play games, shop at unique crafter booths, pick out your pumpkins for fall, and so much more!
