The National Museum of the Marine Corps is looking for a few good cooks to compete in our Annual MRE Cook-off! Here are the guidelines for the cook-off: 1. Contestants “blindly” pull 2 MREs from a box 2. Contestants will create one meal from the 2 MREs for presentation to a panel of judges. 3. Contestants can bring any special ingredients they can fit into a gallon plastic bag (approximately the size of a cargo pocket on the utility uniform) to use to enhance their meal. 4. The Museum will furnish heating elements and other basic supplies. After tasting all the contestants' meals, our judges will choose one skilled “chef” to take home the coveted Golden Canteen Cup! This is always a fun event to attend. We hope you will join us! There are only 8 competitor spots available for the MRE Cook-off. The deadline for entering is Feb 2.
