Mother's Day Weekend Tours at PWCHPD

Then treat her to a tour of one of Prince William County’s historic sites! All moms that visit during the Mother’s Day weekend will receive a complimentary tour. Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park Tours

Sunday, 05/14/2017 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Bristoe Station Battlefield staff and volunteers will provide guided tours of the hallowed grounds that contain camps, cemeteries, and battlefields. Learn about Camp Jones and the battles that took place in 1862 and 1863. Tours begin on the hour and depart from the kiosk in the parking lot on Iron Brigade Unit Avenue. The last tour leaves at 3PM. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Insect repellant is encouraged. No pets please. Attachments

Potomac Nationals vs. Salem Red Sox

Its Mothers day at the ballpark as the P-Nats wrap up their series with the Salem Red Sox. The first 1000 fans will receive a 1982 replica Alexandria Dukes CL champions jersey. Wildlife Walk at Bristoe Station Battlefield

Bristoe Station Battlefield is home to a complex meadow ecosystem. Join outdoor experts on a guided walk of the battlefield. Learn about the beneficial wildlife especially the birds and butterflies that call this ecosystem home. Learn to identify the plants that these birds and butterflies need for food and shelter. Bring binoculars. The tour departs from the kiosk in the parking lot at Iron Brigade Unit Ave and 10th Alabama Way. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. No pets please. Enjoy performing yoga on the lawn with amazing views of the Potomac River and historic Rippon Lodge in the background. No one could ask for a better outdoor venue to exercise. Join certified instructor Christopher Glowacki for an hour long Vinyasa yoga practice. Beginning yoga students to well-versed devotes are welcomed. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, towel and plenty of water; beginners may want to bring a block and/or strap. Classes are offered most Saturday mornings from May to September. Call Rippon Lodge to confirm class day and times. Those purchasing 10 classes will receive punch cards which are good for the whole season. Additional classes may be purchased at any time.
